Good Times with the Girls

“It’s all a matter of perspective.”

This phrase came up quite a bit this past weekend. More in joking than deep life discussions, but in returning back to my daily routine of life and already missing my girls, I can’t help but remember it and realize its truth.

There’s something so special about getting together with great friends and just enjoying the relationships that God has brought into your life and that have stood the test of time. Friends that really know you. Friends you laugh with, cry with and talk long into the night with. Friends who pray for you in season and out. Great friends. Friends that sharpen you and make you a better person, even after only two days with them. These girls are some of those friends in my life.

We all got together, as we usually do about once a year, in honor of my friend Kylie’s 30th birthday (since she’s the first to hit the big 3-0!) and we packed in as much as possible in 2 days! We went out to a cabin by the lake, relaxed, sat around a bonfire long into the night talking about what only girls should talk about. We ate way too many sugary/carb foods and didn’t care. We swapped clothes, got ready all in one bathroom, took lots of pictures, and even squeezed in some time to see the broadway play-Wicked! Seriously, not sure it could have been a better weekend!

So here’s to us all entering our 30’s together and continuing to enjoy life together! I’m utterly grateful for these God relationships and wouldn’t be who I am today without them!
