The Broken Way

The broken way. It’s not the way we’d choose. It’s not an easy way. But brokenness has this unexplainable way of breaking us open for life to flow in and out of us. We have no idea how much it’s absolutely necessarily for life and life abundantly. As a dear friend told me just months ago, “beautiful things come from being broken.”
. . . .
“The real Jesus turns to our questions of why-why this brokenness, why this darkness?-and says, ‘You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.’… Brokeness happens in a soul so the power of God can happen in a soul.”
. . . .
“The seed breaks to give us wheat. The soil breaks to give us crops. The sky breaks to give us rain. The wheat breaks to give us bread. And the bread breaks to give us the feast. There was once even an alabaster that broke to give Him all the glory. Never be afraid of being a broken thing.”
