Take it In – It’s All for You

I sat on that bench for close to an hour watching the river waters pass by. I began to toss in all my cares to be carried with it. When I took an in inventory of my heart I realized it was heavy and weighed down by all I thought I needed to be caring about. But it was impossible and too heavy for me. I would always feel like not enough under this weight. But one by one as I threw them out and watched them float away, I started to notice the details of my surroundings. Like a painting to stare at for hours I sat and took it in. I could suddenly see what had been right in front of me all along. The creativity of God on display just for my delight. As I let that sink in, I felt delight fill my soul to the brim. This was all for me. And as I had let go of all that was not, I had room to take in all that was. I felt refreshed and light and as if I could take on the world! It was joy seeping into every crevice giving strength to my once weary soul. And I’d found it by waiting on Him – where He had actually already been waiting for me.

“But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭AMP‬‬
