I Choose to Believe

Today, I choose to believe you again.

On days where I don’t feel great faith, or great courage, and I can’t see how God’s going to be true to His word, I choose to declare in simplicity, “I still believe You and today I choose to believe again.” It’s a new day with new mercies. What if today is the day of your breakthrough? What if today that miracle comes into reality? What if that bad habit is finally broken today?

In that simple phrase I’m declaring that I will not focus on my small and limited perspective of this life and world. I surrender my understanding and cast out doubt and unbelief because everything can change in a second. New understanding, new breakthrough, new healing. And when I can’t see and I don’t feel any different today than I did for the last 30 days or 3 months or 3 years, I simply declare again, “I believe you.” Because I have more evidence of your faithfulness than I can keep count of at this point, so why would I stop believing now.

“Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
