A Christmas Gift

“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” -Ephesians 3:14-21

This Christmas is incredibly special-a gift beyond what I could have asked for-spending it with these two. My grandparents have been married for over 67 years and their love and walk with Jesus is a legacy our entire family will treasure forever.
Grandma still makes the whole room laugh with her witty comments and she never stops telling us all how much she loves us. She has loved us all so well, and I only hope I can be more like her. My grandfather serves and watches over her so tenderly, reminding me of what true love and sacrifice really looks like. It is not for the faint of heart.
We have spent the last couple days singing to her, recalling wonderful memories and laughing amidst our tears. Though our hearts ache to see her go, we are celebrating her life and that she will be with Jesus soon–smiling, laughing and dancing again!

I love you Grandma!
