Family: The Shulls

Meet the beautifully, adorable Shull family!  I’ve known the Shull’s for some years now and Brad is a fellow photographer that I’ve been able to shoot with from time to time. Their growing tribe of adorable little people have smiles that will melt your heart and if you’ve ever hung out with Brad and Abby you know the laughter is soon to follow!  Here’s a little from Brad on life and being young parents.

Abby and I are a “last of a dying breed” type of couple. Todays standard is to wait till your 30 to get married and then have your kids when your around 35. I know this because we are the youngest parents picking up kids at our Mothers day out every week. Having kids in our 20’s has really changed everything about who we are and what we represent. We are both the type of parents that put our kids first and many sacrifices have been made as a result of this. A lot of personal dreams and goals have been changed or simply pushed aside in order to raise our kids with us being around and present in their lives. It’s our top priority.

At times I’ve struggled with this, but for the most part the good far outweighs the bad. As a father I have helped raise all 3 of my children. This includes the hard stuff; warming up bottles, changing diapers, taking care of them when they are sick. The lessons in patience are the most rewarding and even though life feels like a juggling act at times I am still grateful for all the time I have had with them during these early years. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
